A care home in Thetford has been named one of the best in the East of England by the UK’s leading care home review website.
The website, carehome.co.uk, announces the winners of the Care Home Awards annually, which recognises the top-rated homes and Care UK’s Coronation House has been listed in the top 20 in the East of England.
Coronation House, on Norwich Road, is known for its commitment to enabling residents to lead active and fulfilling lives. Coronation House provides daily group and one-to-one activities, weekly friendship cafes and a Wishing Tree initiative that encourages residents to put wishes forward to reconnect with a past hobby or try something completely new.
The Top 20 award is a mark of excellence and means the care home has been one of the top-rated by residents and their family and friends in the past year.
One review said: “My 94-year-old mum was in Coronation House for a month’s respite care/rehab following a fall at home and also 2x hospital stays. From the very first phone call and then the initial meeting at my mum’s house, we knew that Coronation House was going to be good for our family. During her stay, we were all impressed by the care given and the friendliness of all staff. It was lovely to be able to visit our Mum at any time, and also to be able to make tea/coffee whilst there. My mum had initially been resistant to staying but agreed in the end that it was a lovely place and that the care given was excellent. Thank you!”
Another review said: “The overall impression of Coronation House is very modern, exceptionally clean and well-staffed care home. It is a very welcoming, nicely laid out establishment. The staff are very friendly, always available if you have any problems you wish to discuss.”
